Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about ZerBytes and my services.
ZerBytes was founded by me, Alexander Trost, as a limited-liability company (UG) in Germany. I leverage years of experience with customers in containers, Kubernetes, storage, and open source.
From writing Dockerfiles to running production OpenShift platforms, I have handled architecture, implementation, and operations in several projects. I honed these skills running the infrastructure of a large German gaming community (over 2 million requests a day) where performance and stability were critical.
I'm a maintainer of Rook.io, a CNCF-graduated project, and I also maintain ancientt, dellhw_exporter, extended-ceph-exporter, FiveNet, and more. These projects cover topics from automatated network benchmarking, hardware monitoring to an open-source roleplay CAD system.
